Blu-ray, DVD, Digital & 4K UHD: ‘Samurai Fury’

Well Go USA are bringing the 2025 Japanese historical action epic ‘Samurai Fury’ (室町無頼) to US Digital on October 7 and Blu-ray, DVD and 4K UHD on October 28, 2025.
Adapted from the novel ‘Muromachi Burai’ by Ryosuke Kakine and directed by Yu Irie, the film follows a rebel in 1461 Japan who gathers outcast warriors to launch an uprising against a corrupt, famine-hit society. The cast includes Yo Oizumi, Kento Nagao, Wakana Matsumoto, Yuya Endo, and Tomoya Maeno.
Synopsis: In 1461 Kyoto, before the Onin War, famine and plague devastate the land, with 80,000 bodies piled along the Kamogawa River, and human trafficking rampant. The elite indulge while wealth disparities grow. Hyoei Hasuta, a wandering free spirit, sees hope in the chaos, mentoring Saizo, a talented youth, to master staff combat. Leading outlaws like a swordsman, spear-wielder, and Korean archer, Hyoei launches an uprising against corrupt powers. They face Doken Honekawa, Hyoei’s former ally wielding the “Skull Sword,” as the courtesan Yoshioji watches their fateful clash.
