Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘Daughter’s Daughter’

Deltamac are bringing the 2024 Taiwanese family drama ‘Daughter’s Daughter’ (女兒的女兒) to Taiwanese Blu-ray and DVD on July 25, 2025.

Written and directed by Huang Xi, the film follows a recently retired mother who loses her daughter in an accident and has to make decisions about a frozen embryo her daughter left behind. The cast includes Sylvia Chang, Karena Lam, Eugenie Liu, Winston Chao, and Lam Siu-Cham.

Synopsis: Jin is in her 60s. Her husband gone, her concern is for her daughter, Zuer, in New York, who is trying out IVF with her partner, Michelle. When Jin receives news that Zuer and Michelle have died in an accident, she heads for New York. There, she has another shock: she has inherited Zuer’s embryo and it’s for her to decide its fate. Meanwhile, going to New York also forces Jin to face Emma, the daughter she gave up for adoption when she was 17.
