Panorama are bringing the 1996 Hong Kong action-comedy ‘God Of Gamblers 3: The Early Stage’ (賭神3之少年賭神) to Hong Kong Blu-ray and DVD on December 23, 2021.
Written and directed by Wong Jing, the film follows a gangster’s daughter and an undercover cop as they attempt to help an apprentice gambler take revenge on the mentor who betrayed him. The cast includes Leon Lai, Anita Yuen, Jordan Chan, Gigi Leung, and Frankie Ng.
Synopsis: Ko Chun (Leon Lai) lost his home and family at the age of 8 due to his father’s gambling troubles. Raised in a card sharp group, Ko Chun learned all the gambling tricks from his godfather Kent (Chung King Fai). Eighteen years later, Ko Chun has become a master cardshark in his own right. Kent decides to organize a God of Gamblers competition to expand his business, and hints that he will agree to Ko Chun marrying his daughter (Gigi Leung) if he wins. Ko Chun advances through the competition with his skills, only to get betrayed by those closest to him. Saved by friends Seven (Anita Yuen) and Lung Wu (Jordan Chan), Ko Chun sets out to win back the title of God of Gamblers.
