Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘Haunting Call’

Universe Laser are bringing the 2024 Hong Kong horror thriller ‘Haunting Call’ (手機見鬼) to Hong Kong Blu-ray and DVD on September 19, 2025.

Directed by , the film follows a struggling influencer who gains fame livestreaming ghost sightings via a mysterious phone, only to be drawn into a chilling pact for revenge. The cast includes Lin Min-Chen, Jessica Chan, Yvette Chan, and Kiki Tam.

Synopsis: Sweet newbie influencer Lily (Lin Min-Chen) is passionate about being a livestreamer but she’s not very popular. Her income is meagre and even her boyfriend cheats on her, pushing her life even further into the pits. One day, Lily comes across a phone and receives a strange message from ghost Xiaoya (Jessica Chan). Xiaoya helps Lily get back at her cheating boyfriend, which in turn boosts her follower count. Lily even goes viral by livestreaming ghost sightings on the phone! However, there is a dark price to pay: Lily must complete Xiaoya’s terrifying revenge plan. Xiaoya was cruelly bullied by her classmate in high school, ultimately leading to her tragic death. With Lily’s help, she will take revenge on them, one by one.
