Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘Tales from the Occult’

Panorama are bringing the 2022 Hong Kong horror anthology ‘Tales from the Occult’ (失衡凶間) to Hong Kong Blu-ray and DVD on December 30, 2022.

Directed by Fruit Chan, Fung Chih-Chiang, and Wesley Hoi, the film is made up of three short films that focus on the hidden horrors that lurk behind the urban landscape of Hong Kong. The cast includes Richie Ren, Jerry Lamb, Cherry Ngan, Sofiee Ng, Cecilia So, Kelvin Kwan, and Lawrence Cheng.

Synopsis: A singer (Cherry Ngan) is plagued by nightmares and deteriorating mental health after moving into a new home. A YouTuber (Jerry Lamb) has a run-in with another livestreamer (Cecilia So) at a shopping mall that holds a terrifying secret. A writer (Sofiee Ng) and a gangster (Richie Jen) team up with other tenement residents to take on a mysterious dripping-wet figure in the stairwell whom they think may be a vengeful spirit.
