Blu-ray release: ‘Black Tight Killers’

Radiance Films are bringing the 1966 Japanese spy spoof ‘Black Tight Killers’ (俺にさわると危ないぜ) to US and UK Blu-ray on February 26, 2024.

Directed by Yasuharu Hasebe and based on a novel by Michio Tsuzuki, the film follows a military photographer who vows to rescue a stewardess after she is kidnapped during their dinner date. The cast includes Akira Kobayashi, Chieko Matsubara, Mieko Nishio, Kozue Kamo, and Tomoko Hamakawa.

Synopsis: After wooing stewardess Yoriko (Chieko Matsubara, Tokyo Drifter), war photographer Hondo (Akira Kobayashi, Battles Without Honor and Humanity) sees her kidnapped by a team of deadly female assassins who use vinyl records as weapons. Investigating her whereabouts, Hondo uncovers a conspiracy to steal a buried stash of WWII-era gold. Soon he must dodge go-go dancing ninjas and chewing-gum bullets to save Yoriko, whose family secret is tied to the hidden treasure.
