Blu-ray release: ‘Tamagotchi’

CN Entertainment are bringing the 1997 Hong Kong horror movie ‘Tamagotchi’ (四月四日 / Temegotchi) to Hong Kong Blu-ray on May 16, 2025.

Directed by Wellson Chin, the film tells the story of a young girl under the watchful eye of a vengeful guardian angel, intent on protecting her from those who wish to cause her harm. The cast includes Dayo Wong, Ruby Wong, Wong Man-Yi, Helena Law Lan, and Joe Cheung.

Synopsis: Tingting (Wong Man-Yi), whose family runs a coffin shop, has been absent from school for many days. Teacher Tsui (Helena Law Lan) visits her home and finds the girl’s family members all dead in a shocking manner. Social worker Sam (Ruby Wong) follows up on the case for Tingting, who has stopped talking and shows signs of severe abuse. Police officer Man (Dayo Wong) arranges for his girlfriend Sam to meet with the traumatised Tsui to try to understand the situation. Bizarre incidents occur one after another. It seems like everyone around Tingting dies…
