Blu-ray release: ‘The 14 Amazons’

Imprint Films are bringing the 1972 Hong Kong wuxia movie ‘The 14 Amazons’ (十四女英豪) to Australian Blu-ray on July 30, 2025.
Written and directed by Cheng Kang, the film follows a group of women as they set out to avenge the death of their general and defend the country. The cast includes Lisa Lu Yan, Ivy Ling Po, Lily Ho Li-Li, Yueh Hua, Shu Pei-Pei, Wang Ping, Liu Wu-Chi, Karen Yip, Li Ching, Tina Chin Fei, and Ou-Yang Sha-Fei.
Synopsis: The Yang family, men and women, have served their country loyally for generations. During the war, their last male heir, General Yang, is ambushed and killed. His widow and a large number of courageous women set out to avenge his death and defend the country.
