Blu-ray release: ‘The Perfect Weapon’

Kino Lorber are bringing the 1991 American martial arts action movie ‘The Perfect Weapon’ to US Blu-ray on May 28, 2024.

Directed by Mark DiSalle, the film revolves around a Kenpo Karate expert who sets out to avenge his mentor’s death after he is slain by a ruthless drug lord. The cast includes Jeff Speakman, John Dye, Mako, James Hong, Mariska Hargitay, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, and Professor Toru Tanaka.

Synopsis: Jeff Sanders (Jeff Speakman) is a drifter and Kenpo karate expert who returns home to discover his mentor has been murdered by a ruthless drug lord. Determined to avenge the killing, he must contend with the cop assigned to the case—his long-estranged brother (John Dye). Caught between the arm of the law and his own code of honor, Jeff heads toward a final showdown with a sadistic assassin (Professor Toru Tanaka).
