‘Love Untangled’ (고백의 역사) is a 2025 South Korean romantic comedy directed by Namkoong Sun.

The film revolves around a lovestruck teen who plans to win the school heartthrob by going from curly to straight hair — until a new transfer student changes everything. The cast includes Shin Eun-Soo, Gong Myung, Cha Woo-Min, Yoon Sang-Hyeon, and Kang Mi-Na.

Synopsis: In 1998 Busan, 19-year-old high schooler Park Se-Ri (Shin Eun-Soo) struggles to confess her crush on popular student Kim Hyun (Cha Woo-Min) due to her untamable curly hair. When 20-year-old transfer student Han Yoon-Seok (Gong Myung) arrives from Seoul, his mysterious past and aloof demeanour intrigue Se-Ri, who sees him as key to winning Kim Hyun’s heart. With help from friend Baek Seong-Rae (Yoon Sang-Hyeon) and rival Ko In-Jeong (Kang Mi-Na), who shares a hair-straightening secret, Se-Ri navigates her unrequited love. [© Far East Films]
