‘The King’s Warden’ (왕과 사는 남자) is a 2026 South Korean historical drama directed by Jang Hang-Jun.

The film depicts a fallen ruler in exile who learns the meaning of dignity, identity, and human connection after power is taken away. The cast includes Yu Hae-Jin, Park Ji-Hoon, Yoo Ji-Tae, Jeon Mi-Do, and Kim Min.

Synopsis: After losing his throne and being banished to a remote village, a young king is forced to live as an ordinary man among people who once existed far below his notice. As court intrigue continues to determine his fate from afar, he discovers that dignity, loyalty, and identity take on new meaning when power is gone and survival depends on human connection rather than authority. [© Far East Films]
