‘The Moon’ (더 문) is a 2023 South Korean space survival drama written and directed by Kim Yong-Hwa.

The film follows the dramatic story of Korea’s first manned lunar exploration mission which leaves one man stranded alone on the moon. The cast includes Sul Kyung-Gu, Do Kyung-Soo, Kim Hee-Ae, Park Byung-Eun, and Jo Han-Chul.

Synopsis: Set in 2030, when the manned lunar exploration project has progressed considerably. Astronaut Hwang Seon-woo (Do Kyung-Soo) was stranded on the moon alone in space beyond 384,000 km due to an accident, while Kim Jae-guk (Sol Kyung-Gu), the former head of the space centre desperately tried to save him.
