
Theatrical release: ‘Chang’an’

Dazzler Media are bringing the 2023 Chinese animated fantasy adventure ‘Chang’an’ (长安三万里) to UK and Irish cinemas on February 28, 2025.
Directed by Xie Junwei and Zou Jing, the film finds the Tang dynasty poet Gao Shi stranded in a lonely city far from Chang’an so he passes the time by recounting his adventures with Li Bai. The voice cast includes Yang Tianxiang, Ling Zhenhe, Wu Junquan, Xuan Xiaoming, Lu Lifeng, and Liu Xiaoyu.
Synopsis: Take a breathtaking journey into the Tang Dynasty, showcasing the lives of two iconic poets, Li Bai and Du Fu. Their contrasting spirits, Li’s fiery passion and Du’s quiet resilience, collide in the vibrant city of Chang’an, where art, power and ambition intertwine. As political intrigue and personal challenges unfold, the film explores the complexities of genius, friendship, and the quest for legacy. With striking visuals and a haunting score, Chang’an captures an era where poetry was rebellion and every moment held eternity’s promise, a celebration of art, culture and the indomitable human spirit.
