‘Ash Is Purest White’ (江湖儿女) is an upcoming Chinese crime drama written and directed by Jia Zhangke.
The film follows a dancer who goes in search of her mobster boyfriend after she serves 5 years in prison for attempting to protect him. The cast includes Zhao Tao, Liao Fan, Feng Xiaogang, Xu Zheng, and Zhang Yibai.
‘Ash Is Purest White’ opens across China on September 21, 2018.
