‘The Soul’ (缉魂) is a 2021 Chinese mystery thriller co-written and directed by Cheng Wei-Hao.

Based on a novel by Jiang Bo, the story revolves around the investigation into the murder of a high profile company chairman. The cast includes Chang Chen, Janine Chang, Sun Anke, Christopher Lee Meng Soon, Zhang Baijia, and Liu Hui-Ming.

Synopsis: Wang Shicong, a high profile company chairman, dies tragically at home. The prosecutor, Liang Wenchao (Chang Chen) and his wife (Janine Chang) begin a detailed investigation into the case. The deceased’s son (Liu Hui-Ming), his new wife (Sun Anke), long-time business partner (Christopher Lee), and even his dead ex-wife (Zhang Baijia), all have possible motives for murder.
