‘Beethoven Netsuzou’ (ベートーヴェン捏造) is a 2025 Japanese drama directed by Kazuaki Seki.

Based on a novel by Shiho Kagehara, the film follows a loyal secretary who rewrites history by transforming the crude, foul-mouthed Beethoven into a saintly genius—igniting a fierce battle over the truth behind the legend. The cast includes Yuki Yamada, Arata Furuta, Shota Sometani, Fuju Kamio, and Oshiro Maeda.

Synopsis: Beethoven (Arata Furuta), a legendary genius, overcame deafness to create timeless masterpieces. In reality, he was a crude, unkempt man. His loyal secretary, Schindler (Yuki Yamada), crafted his saintly image after his death, transforming him into a “sacred musical genius.” This sparked a fierce narrative battle among those claiming to know the true Beethoven. Meanwhile, a young journalist, Seyer (Shota Sometani), suspects Schindler’s lies and seeks to uncover the truth. The question remains whether Schindler’s deception will endure or be exposed.
