‘Behind The Shadows’ (私家偵探) is a 2025 Hong Kong crime thriller directed by Jonathan Li and Chou Man-Yu.

The film focuses on a private investigator who unexpectedly finds himself entangled in a murder case and is determined to track down the guilty party. The cast includes Louis Koo, Chrissie Chau, Liu Kuan-Ting, Raymond Wong Ho-Yin, Renci Yeung, and Eddie Cheung.

Synopsis: Au-Yeung Wai Yip (Louis Koo), a mediocre private detective, is investigating an extramarital affair when he accidentally stumbles upon a murder  – a young woman was brutally slain, with hideous bloodstains all over her neck! However, this is just the beginning. A bizarre car accident on a rainy night, an innocent woman forced to commit suicide for love, and a bride-to-be murdered before marriage… When Pandora’s Box is opened in the colour of blood, a hunting game in the name of love debt officially opens.
