Trailer: ‘Buddies in India’

‘Buddies in India’ (大闹天竺) is a 2017 Chinese-Indian comedy written and directed by Wang Baoqiang.

Designed as a modern take on the ‘Journey to the West’ story, the film follows one man and his three friends as they travel to India to track down his father’s will. Cast members include Wang Baoqiang, Yue Yunpeng, Ada Liu, Vikramjeet Virk, and Shruti Sodhi.

Synopsis: Following his father’s deathbed confession about the location of his last will and testament, Tang Sen packs up and heads to India with his friend Wu Kong in search of it. Along the way, the merry duo becomes a motley crew, enlisting a loyal but quirky fighter and a cagey but beautiful woman all while experiencing the mysteries of a magical land that both helps and hinders them in their quest.

‘Buddies in India’ will open across China on February 2, 2017.
