‘Extro’ (エキストロ) is a 2020 Japanese mockumentary directed by Naoki Murahashi.
The film utilises a documentary style to follow a 64-year-old movie extra after he lands a job working on a samurai drama. The cast includes Kozo Haginoya, Koji Yamamoto, Yuki Saito, Yasufumi Terawaki, and Tatsumi Fujinami.
Synopsis: Kozo Haginoya is 64-years-old and works as a dental technician. He raised his son alone. His passion is for acting and he performs as an extra on various films and drama series. He belongs to management company Raku, who works with acting extras. The camera that follows him captures a big case one day.
