‘Hell Dogs’ (ヘルドッグス) is a 2022 Japanese crime action drama directed by Masato Harada.

Based on the novel of the same name by Akio Fukamachi, the film follows an ex-cop who infiltrates the yakuza to get payback for a murder. The cast includes Junichi Okada, Kentaro Sakaguchi, Mayu Matsuoka, Kazuki Kitamura, Shinobu Otake, and Miyavi.

Synopsis: Shogo Kanetaka (Junichi Okada) is a police officer who suffers from trauma after someone close to him is murdered. Since that horrific day, Shogo has only thought about one thing – revenge. After agreeing to go undercover as a yakuza member, Shogo is instructed to pick a fight with Hideki Murooka (Kentaro Sakaguchi) as a stepping stone into the organization. Hideki is the son of a death-row convict and he has a condition that means he is always hungry and constantly eating.
