‘Hovering Blade’ (彷徨之刃) is a 2024 Chinese crime drama co-written and directed by Chen Zhuo.

Based on a novel by Keigo Higashino, the film revolves around a single father who goes in search of revenge after several minors murder his daughter. The cast includes Wang Qianyuan, Wang Jingchun, Qi Xi, Zhang Youhao, Wang Tianchen, Zhou Zhengjie, Alan Aruna, and Wu Shuang.

Synopsis: Single father Li Changfeng (Wang Qianyuan) is desperate for revenge following his daughter’s abusive death at the hands of several minors. He wants to make the teenage devils pay for their crimes in his own way. Faced with Li and with the police hot on their trail, what kind of punishment will the juvenile delinquents receive?
