‘I Wish I Could Meet You Again on the Hill Where That Flower Blooms’ (あの花が咲く丘で、君とまた出会えたら。) is a 2023 Japanese fantasy romance directed by Yoichi Narita.

Based on the novel ‘Ano Hana ga Saku Oka de, Kimi to mata Deaetara’ by Natsue Shiomi, the film follows a young girl who mysteriously travels back to 1945 where she falls in love with a kamikaze pilot. The cast includes Haruka Fukuhara, Koshi Mizukami, Tomoko Nakajima, Yoshiyuki Tsubokura, and Natsuki Deguchi.

Synopsis: Yuri (Haruka Fukuhara) is a high school student in the present day. She isn’t happy with her life at home or school. One day, she has an argument with her mother and runs away from home. Somehow, when Yuri later opens her eyes, she realizes that she is in the year 1945. She happens to meet Akira (Koshi Mizukami). He is a pilot for a kamikaze unit in the military. [Source: AsianWiki]
