Trailer for live-action ‘Ghost in the Shell’

The first full trailer has been released for the upcoming American live-action adaptation of ‘Ghost in the Shell’.

Based on the manga by Masamune Shirow, the film stars Scarlett Johansson as a cyborg policewoman who attempts to bring down a nefarious computer hacker. Rupert Sanders (‘Snow White and the Huntsman’) directs with a supporting cast that includes Michael Wincott, Michael Pitt, Juliette Binoche, Rila Fukushima, Pilou Asbæk, Chin Han, and Takeshi Kitano.

Synopsis: The Major is a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology.

‘Ghost in the Shell’ opens worldwide on March 31, 2017.
