‘Midnight Whisper II’ (半夜叫你别回头2) is a 2026 Chinese horror movie directed by Lu Shilei.

The film is a loosely connected sequel to ‘Midnight Whisper’ (2015), functioning as a standalone story in which a secluded mountain retreat becomes a deadly trap as supernatural forces and a long-buried curse resurface. The cast includes Mei Qiong, Zhao Yixiao, Jiang Mengru, Shen Lu, Li Shijie, and Lu Yan.

Synopsis: Newly married Xiao Linger returns to her childhood mountain villa for a quiet getaway, only to encounter a series of unsettling events. As friends and unexpected visitors gather at the isolated estate, a mysterious girl in red appears, reviving a local legend surrounding a vengeful ghost doll named Mary. Cut off from the outside world, the group is pulled into escalating supernatural horrors that turn the retreat into a deadly nightmare.
