‘Officer Black Belt’ (무도실무관) is a 2024 South Korean action comedy written and directed by Kim Joo-Hwan.
The film revolves around a talented martial artist who teams up with a probation officer to fight and prevent crime. The cast includes Kim Woo-Bin, Kim Sung-Kyun, Lee Hae-Young, Kim Yool-Ho, and Lee Joong-Ok.
Synopsis: Lee Jung-Do (Kim Woo-Bin) is a normal guy who likes playing video games and works as a delivery driver for his father’s chicken restaurant. However, he also happens to be a martial arts prodigy with a black belt in taekwondo, kendo, and judo. One day, Jung-Do happens to see a “martial arts officer” being attacked by a probationer wearing an ankle monitor. After saving him, he is invited to fill in for the injured officer for 5 weeks. Jung-Do is partnered with probation officer Kim Sun-Min (Kim Sung-Kyun) and together, they work to control violent offenders who are on probation. [© Far East Films]
