Trailer: ‘Once Upon a Crime’

‘Once Upon a Crime’ (赤ずきん、旅の途中で死体と出会う。) is a 2023 Japanese fantasy mystery co-written and directed by Yuichi Fukuda.

Based on a novel by Aito Aoyagi, the film follows Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella as they get wrapped up in a mystery after accidentally running over a man on their way to the royal ball. The cast includes Kanna Hashimoto, Yuko Araki, Takanori Iwata, Tsuyoshi Muro, Miki Maya, and Natsuna Watanabe.

Synopsis: After accidentally killing a man with their pumpkin carriage en route to a ball, Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella decide to conceal the body. Once they safely arrive at their destination, Cinderella falls head over heels for the Prince – but now is no time for romance, as the two find themselves in a bit of a pinch when the ball is interrupted by the discovery of the corpse!
