‘One Week Friends’ (一週間フレンズ。) is a 2017 Japanese youth romance directed by Shosuke Murakami.
Based on the manga series ‘Isshukan Friends’ by Matcha Hazuki, the story follows a high school boy who attempts to befriend a lonely girl but soon discovers that she has an illness that causes her to lose her memory on a weekly basis. The cast includes Kento Yamazaki, Haruna Kawaguchi, Takashi Matsuo, Shuhei Uesugi, Haori Takahashi, and Seika Furuhata.
Synopsis: High school student Yuki Hase (Kento Yamazaki) notices that his classmate, Kaori Fujimiya (Haruna Kawaguchi) is always alone and seemingly has no friends. After approaching her, Kaori reveals that she loses every happy memory of the week before each Monday. Despite learning this, Yuki endeavors to become her new friend every week.
‘One Week Friends’ opens across Japan on February 18, 2017.
