‘Red Wedding Dress: Paper Bride’ (红嫁衣：纸新娘) is a 2025 Chinese horror movie co-written and directed by Xu Jun.

The film, a sequel to this year’s ‘Red Wedding Dress’, depicts a city plunged into horror as the Ghost Festival unleashes a vengeful Red Bride, leaving all in darkness. The cast includes He Yuchen, He Gang, Yuen Cheung-Yan, Chiu Chun-Lung, Xu Nuo, and Lei Kun.

Synopsis: On the night of the Ghost Festival, the underworld gates burst open and vengeful spirits flood the mortal realm. As chaos engulfs Shura City, exorcists Ye Wushuang and Li Feiyun face the terrifying Red Bride—a cursed paper effigy in crimson. At midnight, ghostly paper figures bear a coffin to the imperial uncle’s mansion; by dawn, only his folded skin remains. Wherever the Red Bride passes, life perishes and the living turn to paper corpses. By night’s end, Shura City is swallowed by the abyss. [© Far East Films]
