‘Romantic Killer’ (ロマンティック・キラー) is a 2025 Japanese romantic comedy directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa.
Based on the manga by Wataru Momose, the film follows a romance-averse high school girl forced into a series of magical, manufactured love scenarios that she comically fights to avoid. The cast includes Moka Kamishiraishi, Kyohei Takahashi, Masaya Kimura, Sota Nakajima, and Joichiro Fujiwara.
Synopsis: Anzu Hoshino is a high school girl determined to avoid romance, but her plans are upended when a meddlesome magical being that feeds on human romantic energy targets her. It summons a lineup of striking boys from other dimensions and engineers one contrived romantic scenario after another. Anzu counters each setup with stubborn resistance, turning her everyday life into a fast-paced comedic struggle between manufactured destiny and her unwavering desire to stay completely romance-free.
