‘Sound of Silence’ (震耳欲聋) is a 2025 Chinese crime drama directed by Wan Li.

Inspired by true events, the film follows a lawyer from a deaf family tackling a complex scam, torn between ambition and conscience. The cast includes Tan Jianci, Lan Xiya, Wang Ge, Wang Yanhui, Chi Peng, and Pan Binlong.

Synopsis: Lawyer Li Qi (Tan Jianci) grew up in a deaf family and finds himself caught up in a scam targeting the deaf community. Just as he’s starting to cash in on the fame and rewards from the case, he uncovers how much deeper and more twisted the whole thing really is. Now, torn between his ambitions and his sense of right and wrong, how will he find a way through it? [© Far East Films]
