‘The Admirable Educator’ (一代人师严修) is a 2024 Chinese historical drama directed by Hong Baosheng.

Based on a true story, the film revolves around an educator who stands up at a time of national crisis and sacrifices his family to build his own school. The cast includes Li Jianxin, Yang Jing, Wan Bin, Liu Xin, and Gai Mei.

Synopsis: In the late Qing Dynasty, when the ideology was corrupt and poisoned by the feudal system, Yan Xiu, a famous patriotic educator and the father of the Nankai school, stood up at the time of the national crisis and sacrificed his family to build up his own school. He advocated for educational innovation, swore to save the country from destruction, and founded a series of schools in Nankai to cultivate a large number of outstanding talents for the country.
