Trailer: ‘The Fox Demon Love’

‘The Fox Demon Love’ (玄夜狐影) is a 2021 Chinese supernatural fantasy thriller co-written and directed by Zhang Shaojun.

Based on Pu Songling’s ‘Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio’, the film follows a banished scholar who finds himself dragged into a wild and crazy fight. The cast includes Ge Tian, Hua Kun, Yuan Jing, Wang Siyi, Huang Hai, and Cheng Shi.

Synopsis: At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Yang Yu Fei, an upright scholar, was forced to move to a deserted temple in the mountains because he was targeted by a traitor. Once there, he befriends the mysterious scholar known as Hu Chain and the pair become good friends. But suddenly, Yu Fei finds himself being dragged into a strange and horrible fight.
