‘The Journey of Flower’ (花千骨) is a 2024 Chinese fantasy romance directed by Charlie Zhang.
Based on the novel of the same name by Fresh Guoguo, the film follows the head of the immortal world and his disciple as they attempt to prevent the Demon God from being resurrected. The cast includes Chen Duling, Toby Lee, Mao Zijun, Lai Meiyun, Winnie Zhang, Xu Muchan, Daniel Chan, and Zhang Li.
Synopsis: Although the battle of the Demon God has been over for thousands of years, the evil thoughts and greed in the world are still growing, which not only leads to the loosening of the seal of the artifacts that confine the power of the Demon God but also makes all the forces in the world even more eager to do so.
To prevent the Demon God from reappearing, the head of the Immortal World, Bai Zihua, invited all of the Immortal Factions to join hands to fight against the mutiny of the Seven Killers and recall the seal of the artifact to reappear. During this period though, a mortal woman named Hua Qiangu accidentally entered the immortal world.
Since her childhood, Hua Qiangu has been trapped in the destiny of the “Lone Star of the Heavenly Fury” and suffered from all the prejudices in the world. In order to change her destiny, she has been dedicated to worshipping Bai Zihua as her teacher. Under the many tests, Hua Qiangu not only became the disciple of Bai Zihua, but the two also fell in love with each other.
