‘The Recon’ (수색자) is a 2021 South Korean mystery thriller written and directed by Kim Min-Seop.
The film follows a group of soldiers who are sent to locate deserters inside the DMZ but soon discover an unidentified soldier. The cast includes Song Chang-Eui, Song Young-Kyu, Lee Hyun-Kyun, Jang Hae-Song, Do Eun-Bi, and Kim Cheol-Yun.
Synopsis: An education officer dies after a gunshot went off in the dead of night. At the same time, deserters flee to the DMZ in the access control zone, and the 3rd platoon is urgently deployed to track them down.
