‘The Volunteers: Blood-Forged Peace’ (志愿军:浴血和平) is a 2025 Chinese historical war drama co-written and directed by Chen Kaige.
The film, which is the third and final part in ‘The Volunteers’ trilogy, depicts the Korean War’s final phase, where Chinese forces fought and negotiated fiercely for 747 days to secure peace against U.S. provocations. The cast includes Zhang Zifeng, Song Jia, Zhu Yawen, Chen Feiyu, Peng Yuchang, Xiao Yang, and Wang Yanhui.
Synopsis: During the “fighting while negotiating” phase of the Korean War, from the fifth campaign to the armistice agreement, fierce battles raged on the front lines, while intense verbal clashes unfolded at the negotiation table. Facing repeated enemy provocations, Chinese forces united in a resolute counterattack, determined to stand their ground.
