‘Tokyo Taxi’ (TOKYOタクシー) is a 2025 Japanese drama co-written and directed by Yoji Yamada.

The film follows an overworked taxi driver and an elderly passenger whose day-long journey through Tokyo transforms their lives. The cast includes Chieko Baisho, Takuya Kimura, Lee Jun-Young, Yu Aoi, Takaya Sakoda, and Yuka.

Synopsis: Koji Usami (Takuya Kimura), an overworked taxi driver burdened by mounting expenses, is tasked with driving 85-year-old Sumire Takano (Chieko Baisho) from Tokyo’s Shibamata to a care facility in Hayama. Initially distant, the two grow closer as Sumire requests stops to see Tokyo one last time, sharing her intense past during their journey.
