‘Wandering Days’ (恋曲尘封) is a 2025 Chinese romantic drama written and directed by Wu Youyin.
The film tells the story of an 18-year-old boy’s first love, which is triggered by the writings in a dusty diary. The cast includes Huang Xuan, Jiang Wenli, Huang Xiaolei, Ma Sichun, and Luo Ji.
Synopsis: In 1993, under the floor of an old Shikumen house in Shanghai that was about to be demolished, Xuan (Huang Xuan), who dropped out of school at the age of 18, found a hidden diary. A photo of the girl was posted on the front page of the diary, and the beautiful handwriting between the pages recorded a love affair in 1975. Xuan was moved by the girl from 18 years ago and met Lan (Jiang Wenli), who was already 36 years old in real life. Under the stimulation of hormones, a ruthless emotional hunt began. In front of Lan, who was a middle-aged university teacher at the time, the 18-year-old unpredictable boy began to restore the scenes in the diary one by one without making a sound… [© Far East Films]
