‘Wave Blossoms’ (浪花朵朵) is a 2025 Chinese drama directed by Ma Lujian.

The film depicts decades of change in coastal Fujian, highlighting the evolving lives and resilient traditions of local women. The cast includes Zhang Zhiqing, Ouyang Weixi, Chen Chuang, Lu Xiaolin, and Chang Rong.

Synopsis: Across the decades beginning in the 1970s, young people in coastal Fujian navigate shifting relationships shaped by rapid social change, where love, obligation and personal sacrifice continually redefine their paths. The resilience and cultural heritage of Hui’an women provide a stabilising force amid evolving expectations and generational tensions, with tradition and modernity intertwining to mould the connections, aspirations and emotional landscapes that develop over a lifetime.
