‘Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku’ (ヲタクに恋は難しい) is a 2020 Japanese romantic comedy directed by Yuichi Fukuda.
Based on a webcomic by Fujita, the story revolves around two office workers who develop a relationship after they discover their shared love of otaku culture. The cast includes Mitsuki Takahata, Kento Yamazaki, Nanao, Takumi Saito, and Kento Kaku.
Synopsis: Narumi Momose (Mitsuki Takahata) is a female office worker who hides her fujoshi otaku lifestyle. At her new workplace she meets her old childhood friend Hirotaka (Kento Yamazaki), a handsome and capable company man who is a game otaku. The two seem perfect for each other, but love is difficult for otaku.
‘Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku’ opens across Japan on February 7, 2020.
