Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘A Writer’s Odyssey’

Panorama are bringing the 2021 Chinese action fantasy ‘A Writer’s Odyssey’ (刺杀小说家) to Hong Kong Blu-ray and DVD on September 3, 2021.

Co-written and directed by Lu Yang, the film revolves around a father who has to kill a novelist in order to find his missing daughter. The cast includes Lei Jiayin, Yang Mi, Dong Zijian, Yu Hewei, Guo Jingfei, and Tong Liya.

Synopsis: In the imperial capital of another world, the gods ruled brutally, killing innocent people indiscriminately. Young Kongwen decided to fight back because he was chased by the red-haired ghost. Under the guidance of Hei Jia (Guo Jingfei), he embarked on a journey to wipe out the gods. This is the fantasy world written by the novelist Lu Kongwen (Dong Zijian). Unexpectedly, his work on the novel begins to affect the real world.
