Blu-ray release: ‘To Kill A Mastermind’

88 Films are bringing the 1979 Hong Kong martial arts movie ‘To Kill A Mastermind’ (七煞) to US and UK Blu-ray on September 9/10, 2024.
Directed by Sun Chung, the film revolves around an undercover government agent who infiltrates a powerful crime syndicate that poses a significant threat to the Chinese empire. The cast includes Johnny Wang Lung-Wei, Teng Wei-Hao, Sek Gong, Yuen Wah, and Yuen Bun.
Synopsis: A fearful crime syndicate known as the Qi Sha clan is terrorizing towns across the Chinese empire. The syndicate, infamous for their atrocities, is controlled by Seven Chiefs that rule their own separate territory. Not wanting to yield to their widespread terror, the Government assign the Minister of Crime Investigation Department who then devises a plan to wipe out the gang from “within” by infiltrating his spy, whose identity is as enigmatic as the leader of the syndicate, into the Qi Sha clan. Haunted by internal conflicts among the Qi Sha Chiefs that lead to treachery and cold-blooded murders, it is only a matter of time before the mysterious mastermind must reveal his identity, and the enigmatic spy must confront him in a duel-to-the-death showdown.
