Takeshi Kitano to appear in new ‘Yakuza’ game

Renowned Japanese actor and director Takeshi Kitano (‘Hana-bi’, ‘Kikujiro’) will be appearing in the latest instalment of the ‘Yakuza’ video game series.
Developed by Sega, the ‘Yakuza’ games are open world action-adventures that mix exploration with arcade style over-the-top combat. The newest entry, ‘Yakuza 6’ will see series regular Kazuma Kiryu forced back into action after a group of violent rivals look to reform the Tojo clan.
Not much is known about the role that Kitano will be playing as of yet, but you can see him throwing a baby (?) at around the 1:41 mark in the trailer below.
‘Yakuza 6’ is a Playstation 4 exclusive and will be released in Japan on December 8, 2016. A release date is still yet to be confirmed for North America and Europe.
