‘His Redemption’ (我们终将要和世界握手言和 / Shake Hands with the Life) is a 2025 Chinese drama written and directed by Yuan Shichao.
The film follows a jaded middle-aged man who, stifled by work and life, finds healing by dedicating an hour a day to freedom. The cast includes Liu Mu, Ying Ze, Sang Ping, Jinger Yang, Fu Bohan, and Yu Tong.
Synopsis: Under the weight of a high-pressure job and life’s relentless demands, a middle-aged man finds himself growing weary and losing touch with who he truly is. A chance encounter sparks an unconventional outlet: he decides to set aside all pressing matters, no matter how urgent, and dedicate one hour each day to completely letting go. During this time, the people he meets and the moments he experiences carry an uncanny sense of familiarity, as if each seemingly random encounter or event is tied to his past.
