Blu-ray release: ‘Trapped’

Edko Films are bringing the 2025 Chinese crime action drama ‘Trapped’ (大风杀) to Hong Kong Blu-ray on October 24, 2025.

Co-written and directed by Zhang Qi, the film revolves around a trio of police officers who attempt to rescue a small town that has been taken over by bandits in search of treasure. The cast includes Bai Ke, Xin Baiqing, Lang Yueting, Geng Le, Sun Ning, and Li Xiaochuan.

Synopsis: It’s 1995 in the ghost town of Mangya in northwestern China. Only a small community of civilians and a tiny police station with three officers remain in this former mining town. However, Mangya suddenly gets an unwelcome visitor: a notorious robber who has escaped prison. With a massive sandstorm incoming, the robber and his cronies seal off the town, cutting off fuel and communications. It’s officer Xia Ran (Bai Ke) and the town’s other two officers to protect the trapped residents, but they have only one gun up against 44 ruthless bandits.
