‘Anarchist from Colony’ (박열) is a 2017 South Korean period biopic directed by Lee Joon-Ik.
The film tells the story of Korean patriot Park Yeol, who formed an anarchist organisation during the Japanese colonial period and attempted to assassinate the Japanese Crown Prince. The cast includes Lee Je-Hoon, Choi Hee-Seo, Kim In-Woo, Kwon Yool, Min Jin-Woong, and Baek Soo-Jang.
Synopsis: Park Yeol (Lee Je-Hoon) advocates the independence of Korea from Japan. In an effort to make a change, he organises the anarchist group “Heukdohwe” (Black Wave) and together they hatch a plan to kill the Japanese Crown Prince Hirohito.
