Blu-ray, DVD & 4K UHD release: ‘The Prosecutor’

Universe Laser are bringing the 2024 Hong Kong action thriller ‘The Prosecutor’ (誤判) to Hong Kong Blu-ray, DVD and 4K UHD on March 28, 2025.

Directed by Donnie Yen and Mak Ho-Pong, the film revolves around a former detective-turned-prosecutor who decides to carry out his own investigation after a man is wrongfully accused of drug trafficking. The cast includes Donnie Yen, Julian Cheung, Michael Hui, Francis Ng, Zhang Tiantian, and Kent Cheng.

Synopsis: Donnie Yen fights for justice as cop-turned-prosecutor Fok Chi Ho, who is assigned to a case involving a young man Ma (Mason Fung) charged with drug trafficking. Though Ma initially asserted his innocence, he’s guided by defense attorney Li (Shirley Chan) and paralegal Au (Julian Cheung) to a plea bargain that Fok finds suspiciously disadvantageous. Fok goes against the judge and the chief prosecutor (Francis Ng) to try to exonerate Ma in court, but his efforts backfire, and Ma is handed a harsh sentence. Taking matters into his own hands, Fok sets out to reinvestigate the case and uncover the shady truth.
