Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘Go For Broke’

CN Entertainment are bringing the 2024 Chinese crime drama ‘Go For Broke’ (重生) to Hong Kong Blu-ray and DVD on December 6, 2024.

Co-written and directed by Marc Ma, the film follows a man whose family was destroyed by drug dealers, leading him to join forces with an Anti-drug team leader to take down a criminal group. The cast includes Nick Cheung, Ethan Juan, Sandrine Pinna, Marc Ma, Danny Chan Kwok-Kwan, and Zhang Li.

Synopsis: Zhang Yao (Nick Cheung) was just an ordinary man who worked at sea but when he returned home, his family was gone. Both his wife and daughter died after his wife was lured into drug addiction. Devastated and enraged, Zhang Yao seeks revenge by teaming with officer An Du (Ethan Ruan) to infiltrate the drug ring that destroyed his family. Zhang Yao completely transforms himself to pose as the long-lost son of ruthless drug lord Mu Kun (Vithaya Pansringarm), who has ties to the corrupt police chief Anpei (Jack Kao). Zhang Yao and An Du work together to bring down Mu Kun and Anpei, but no one can be trusted in this dangerous game.
