Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘Marry My Dead Body’

Deltamac are bringing the 2022 Taiwanese supernatural mystery comedy ‘Marry My Dead Body’ (關於我和鬼變成家人的那件事) to Taiwanese Blu-ray and DVD on May 10, 2024.

Directed by Cheng Wei-Hao, the film revolves around a police officer who finds a red wedding envelope from a ghost asking for the officer’s hand in marriage before reincarnation. The cast includes Greg Hsu, Austin Lin, Gingle Wang, Tsai Chen-Nan, and Wang Man-Chiao.

Synopsis: Rash and homophobic police detective Ming Han (Greg Hsu) happens to pick up a red envelope one day, and he’s quickly approached by an old woman who wants him to marry her dead gay grandson. Ming Han naturally refuses the ridiculous proposal, but he’s soon hit with nonstop bad luck and accidents everywhere he goes. Ming Han has no choice but to agree to ghost marriage rituals with Mao Mao (Austin Lin) in order to survive. However, Mao Mao actually appears before him! Though petrified at first, Ming Han soon adjusts to life with Mao Mao around bickering with him. And having a ghost husband comes in handy when he’s trying to crack a big case involving drugs and a mole in the police.
