Blu-ray release: ‘Special Rescue Police Winspector’

Discotek Media are bringing the 1990-1991 Japanese tokusatsu TV show ‘Special Rescue Police Winspector’ (特警ウインスペクター) to US Blu-ray on February 25, 2025.

Directed by Shohei Tojo, the series follows the adventures and missions of a special “Rescue Police” team as they stop crimes and respond to dangerous events. The cast includes Masaru Yamashita, Kaoru Shinoda, Seiichi Hirai, Mami Nakanishi, and Hiroshi Miyauchi.

Synopsis: Sometime in the near future, a series of incredible technological advancements have put Japan on the map! But in the pursuit of this new prosperity, the countryside has been destroyed by rampant pollution, giving rise to a new breed of criminal. In response, the police have established the elite rescue force, Winspector! Working alongside the robot brothers Bikel and Walter, the fiery Captain Ryoma Kagawa risks it all to save lives! Equipped with cutting-edge battle armor and rescue technology, Winspector can handle any disaster or common crook!
