Digital & Blu-ray release: ‘Monster’

Well Go USA are bringing the 2023 Japanese drama ‘Monster’ (怪物) to US Digital on March 12 and to Blu-ray on April 9, 2024.
Directed by Hirokazu Koreeda, the film revolves around a mother who confronts a teacher after she begins to notice disturbing changes in her son’s behaviour. The cast includes Sakura Ando, Eita Nagayama, Soya Kurokawa, Hinata Hiiragi, Mitsuki Takahata, and Akihiro Kakuta.
Synopsis: After a mother (Sakura Ando) discovers that a teacher’s bullying is behind her young son’s sudden strange behavior, she storms into his school demanding an explanation. Continually left without satisfactory answers—and with an increasingly distressed child—she furiously escalates her concerns to the school board and the media. But as the story unfolds through the multilayered perspectives of mother, teacher, and child, the real truth gradually emerges—and proves much more complex than anyone could have expected.
